Meet the Maker: Bridgewire

As the 2nd annual Reno Mini Maker Faire approaches we would like to feature just a few of the amazing makers who will be sharing their projects, knowledge, and passion with everyone.

Today we’re featuring a maker from the amazing Bridgewire makerspace!

1. My name is Craig Bergland and I am a maker at Bridgewire, Reno’s oldest member-supported makerspace.

2. My maker superpower is: using the energy of the Sun.

3. I am inspired by: the huge amount of BTU’s hitting our earth’s surface daily.  I am also inspired by visionaries, including Bucky Fuller, Nikola Tesla, Farrington Daniels, and other heroes of the past.

4. The most exciting project I ever worked on was: the Lenten Desert Experience, at the Nevada Test Site (Mercury) in the early 1980’s.  I was part of the support group, and also one of the group who with the Franciscans was given the ‘official’ tour of the Test Site.
